I've been reading the Tao Te Ching (or "the Way" as roughly translated) which is basically one of many ancient chinese philosophies. I was thinking: what if modern politicians used these guidelined in their lives? For example:

Humility gives it its power.
If you want to govern the people,
you must place yourself below them.
If you want to lead the people, you must learn to follow them.
The Master is above the people,
and no one feels oppressed.
Ahe goes ahead of the people,
